“I’m gonna tell you what and you know it. That’s the friendliest people in the world cause I’ve been all over the world. The people here are friendly. If they don’t know you and they wanna know you they coming up to you and tell you who they are.”
Rita Zeringue lives in Gramercy, LA, although she was raised just up the road in Convent. She remembers things like boucherie day and how her grandma would cook a feast every Sunday for all of the relatives. Rita is an incredible woman whose spirit and words harken to a time in Louisiana few still remember.
